20 Minute Mini Session
Gaver Farm in Mt. Airy MD on October 20th, 26th and November 1st. We will send out more detailed instructions on the week before.
Greenway Tree Farm on November 9th.
Mini Sessions are perfect for updating the family photo and and capturing some beautiful images among fur and pine trees, this year we will be capturing your beautiful families with minimal props while creating timeless images. Please note that mini sessions move quickly and are booked back to back so being on time is essential, if you are running late we will use the remainder of your time as efficiently as possible. We suggest arriving 10-15 minutes early to ensure everyone is ready to go at your start time. We do also suggest bringing "bribes" if possible for little ones, definitely doesn't have to be candy!
The year to expedite turnaround I am giving the digital files that I feel are best from a session, it could be 15 it could be 30, it all depends on how the session goes. Session fee is non-refundable but may be used for future session. A $275 session fee is due to reserve your spot.
We understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. In our desire to be effective and fair to all clients, the following policies are honored:

24-hour advance notice is required when cancelling an appointment. Notice must be given by phone or text, which we monitor frequently or by canceling and rescheduling through the email you will receive upon scheduling your appointment, appointment cancelled more than 24 hours in advance will be given credit toward a future session.
COOPERATION/NO SHOWS: Photographer is not responsible if Client and/or key individuals fail to appear or cooperate during sessions, or for missed images due to details not revealed to Photographer. If Client and/or key individuals fail to appear to a scheduled portrait session, the retainer is non-refundable.
Photo sessions will be held with clear skies or cloudy skies, warm or cold, as well as with mud. If it is raining on the day of your session we will contact you to reschedule.
The 2 Big Things:
1. Being on time ;) Plan on being there 10-15 minutes before your session time. Punctuality is very important since there are sessions before/after yours and the only way to have a smooth flowing group of mini sessions is to start and end on schedule. Feel free to stay in the car and keep warm. We ALL know how much small kids love to be cold (hence the short session times) leading us to the other biggie: clothing! {{But, who knows. Maybe it'll be warm.}}
2. Clothing choice. It could be chilly or it could be 70 degrees with the way the weather goes. Dressing your family in warm layers will be important, and you can peel off what you need temperature depending! Bonus: layers photograph the best and the more "visual depth" the better.
Below are a collection of clothing choices that I find work well in photography sessions. If you want to do something silly, that is perfectly fine too. These are YOUR photos and should reflect your family. Just a couple rules:
1. Avoid stark whites and black alone. They are fine for layering.
2. Avoid neon/brights as they distract in the photo as well.
3. Your jacket/outerwear as well as your shoes definitely matter when assembling an outfit so don't neglect them if you're wearing a coat.
4. You wanna go glam, go glam. You wanna wear holiday jammies, rock it. Want a tropical holiday theme, I'm down. Be you, have fun with it.
3. FEED yourselves and your kiddos. The session is quick but make sure everyone has had a snack/drink prior to the session so they're ready to go. Hungry tummies make for grumpy faces.
Your high resolution images will be ready within 7-10 days to give you ample time to order holiday cards. Your digital images will be delivered via online gallery and downloaded directly to your computer. I am happy to assist with ordering gift prints, Holiday cards, and larger prints/canvases.
As you all probably know, I love a laid back, nice, silly, photo session and will make it as painless as humanly possible. Promise it will be fun!!!!
